Cindy King Boettcher, Texas A&M Class of 1976, is an avid reader and collector of children’s literature.  She received a Masters of Educational Psychology and a Ph.D. in Educational Curriculum and Instruction from Texas A&M University . She is a Clinical Associate Professor in the College of Education and Human Resources where she teaches children’s literature.  She is the author of 5 children’s books and 2 college textbooks. 

Cindy is co-author of Breaking the Circle of One: Redefining Mentorship in the Lives and Writings of Teacher Educators, which won the 1998 American Educational Research Association award for exemplary research in teacher education. Her research interests include children’s literature, learning communities, and gender studies.  She and her husband Ben, Class of ’72, reside in College Station.
